Google has officially confirmed the end of commercialization of its touch phone, the Nexus.
"We received this week the latest edition of the Nexus One"
can be read on the blog dedicated to the Nexus.
"After the last units sold, they will no longer be available online via Google. "

With the implementation of Nexus in the market for touchscreen phones in May in France, Google was mainly intended to highlight a device that can compete technically giant iPhone, while continuing to develop the credibility of its free services and Android mobile operating system.
With over 160,000 new Android phones activated each day and a total of 70,000 applications for the Android Market, it seems clear that Google does not need to complicate the task by marketing its phones itself, without by mobile operators.
The network of manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola and Samsung providing giant is probably much more interesting, from all points of view, for the dissemination of the gospel according to Google.
On the other hand, Google puts an end to the fringe of emerging competition it created with its own manufacturing partners. For no doubt that appropriate market share in this field will have had the unfortunate effect of limiting the interest of those manufacturers for Android.
Note that the commercialization of the Nexus is not totally complete. Indeed, the touchscreen phone will continue to be sold in the shops of some mobile operators, including Vodafone in Europe.
